Pathos Mathos Theatre Company is a group of creators and artists from various media and fields, led by director Lilach Dekel-Avneri, who see art as a bridge between cultures and aspire to create a wide sensual and intellectual experience.

In 2014, following a decade of joint creation, Lilach founded the ensemble as an autonomous group, together with the artists who worked with her along those years, with the vision of providing a field for independent creative work.

 

Our vision has evolved from the chorus concept in the Greek drama. The chorus, as “the others’ lobby”, looks at reality and responds to it and to the characters acting within it, using a unique aesthetic language, thus offering an alternative in both content and style. In accordance with this, the collective wishes to act as a chorus of artists and respond to reality.

Reality Check is an artistic association founded (in 2014) and led by director Lilach Dekel-Avneri.

An association striving to enhance artistic dialogue while stressing quality, aesthetics, and new forms, training of artists, and creation of interdisciplinary collaborations between fields, cultures, institutions, and artists, with the goal of examining a plurality of opinions, questions, and points of view regarding human action, its motives, course, and consequences, in order to promote theatre and performance arts, as an awakening and sobering factor, enabling observance and criticism.
